What is an eco event?
The mantra “every little bit counts” has never been as true as it is with eco-initiatives. Being environmentally responsible is not about solving climate change with one decision. It takes a combination of solutions to make a difference. For example, if you have full recycling and composting services at your event, you are already putting on an “eco-event”. However, so much more can be done! Every aspect of your event can become eco-friendly and sustainable:
- Events create waste, so properly managing this aspect of your activities is key
- Electricity, lighting and power usage
- Heating and/or air conditioning
- Equipment energy usage
- Fuel and water usage
- Reducing wastage and redundancy in your operations
